Islamic Minister Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has revealed that Islamic Libraries will be set up in King Salman Mosque in Malé along with mosques in five other islands.
Shaheem made the statement while speaking during a press conference held at the President's Office on Wednesday. He stated that the library at the Islamic Center was closed last year and therefore an Islamic library will be established at the King Salman Mosque in Malé.
"The facility will be set up in a way that researchers can study easily, with modern facilities. The aim is to inaugurate the library before January. We will also set up libraries in various Islamic centers," he said.

- Raa Ungoofaaru Islamic Center
- Haa Alif Dhidhoo Islamic Center
- Addu City Hithadhoo Islamic Center
- Fuvahmulah City Center for Holy Quran
In addition, the Ministry is conducting additional programs to encourage Islamic life and Islam among the youth.
Of these, 402 imams have been trained and certified.
