An autopsy of Adam Athuhar, 32, who committed suicide after being arrested for holding a woman hostage at knife-point has confirmed his death was the result of an attempted suicide.

Athuhar died at 16:08 on Tuesday, September 2nd, while being treated at the ICU.

Athuhar, held a woman hostage at knife-point and attempted to evade arrest, and was later injured when the police crept up behind him and hit his head with a baton in order to rescue the victim.

Police revealed that Athuhar had been through several medical examinations, including a consultation with a neurologist, all of which had cleared him and had not identified any serious issues.

One Online can confirm reports that Athuhar and his girlfriend had money issues. Athuhar was reportedly a drug addict who also has a record of several crimes.
