STELCO has assured that it will not bill unused electricity.

Addressing rumours on social media that STELCO issues electricity bills without a meter reading, the company issued a statement on Saturday assuring that their employees remain sincere in their line of work.

"The relentless and relentless efforts of these employees to go to the customers' homes every month to collect readings of meters, prepare bills and send them, and provide the services required by the customers are carried out as per company policy," the company said in a statement.

STELCO condemned the rumours and urged the public not to tarnish the image of the company. Additionally, STELCO said that the company will continue to remain sincere in their service to maintain public trust.

STELCO said its employees can also take readings under the same rules and bill for the same reading.

The company also assured that it will not send bills for electricity without taking readings and and will not bill customers for electricity not consumed.
