The Maldives Media Council (MMC) is set to hold the Journalism Awards on October 28th.

The ceremony will be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Umar Zahir Office Building in Hulhumalé at 8:30 pm.

The deadline for applications for the award expired on July 11th with 86 entries received from 18 categories.

Categories for Journalism Awards:

The MMC said it has received submissions for all categories except audio journalism and the best production in the province.

MMC stated that it has received nominations for all categories except Audio Journalism and Best Atoll Production.
