Malsha Shares and Mariyam Shin have resigned as deputy ministers at Youth Ministry, eight months since their suspension.
Heena Waleed, chief spokesperson at the President's Office, told One on Tuesday that the two have resigned from their posts. However, she did not divulge the reason for the resignation.
Since January, Malsha and Shiuna have been suspended for their comments on social media criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged role in the deteriorating political situation in the country and India.
Besides Malsha and Shiuna, another deputy minister in the youth ministry, Abdulla Mahzoom Majid, has also been suspended. He has been under suspension since January. However, he is yet to resign.
