A woman has been found dead in a N. Holhudhoo home with visible injuries.

Police on Tuesday said they received a report in the morning about an injured woman in a residence in the island.

The woman was taken to the health centre in the island where she was declared dead, police said.

The deceased has been identified as a 50-year-old.

Police are currently investigating the incident further.
