A person has been seriously injured in a dangerous accident in Hulhumalé Phase 2 this morning.

Police said a motorcycle and a car collided at 6:50 am in Phase 2 of Hulhumalé this morning. The cyclist sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the Hulhumalé Hospital.

A video circulating on social media shows the cyclist losing control and crashing into a wall. His head hit the wall and there was a lot of blood on the wall and floor as well.

A young man was killed in a collision between a sports car and a motorcycle in Hulhumalé on Thursday night. On July 31, a sports car hit a man and seriously injured him as well. The driver of the car was arrested in both cases.
