A man has suffered serious injuries in a collision between a car and a motorbike.

Police said the accident occurred at the Boduthakurufaanu Magu and Koimala Magu intersection around 0053hrs.

A 21-year-old man suffered multiple injuries and is currently being treated at IGMH.

An eyewitness told 'One' that the man driving a black Exciter 135cc lost control of the bike and hit a taxi. Both vehicles were damaged in the collision.

"The man was bleeding a lot from his face and had multiple cuts on him," he said.

'One' has come to know that the man is currently being treated at IGMH ER on ventilator.

"He broke some ribs, fractured his forehead and also suffered damages to some nerves. The doctors don't have much hope," a family member told 'One'.

Police are investigating the incident further.
