President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the government's current policies in the housing sector and future decisions will be taken in consultation with relevant NGO's and unions.
president Dr. Muizzu made the remarks in a video posted by the President's Office on social media, announcing that he will meet with members of the housing unions today. He said that he was looking forward to the meeting.
The President is meeting with Fahi Union, Giraavaru Male' Citizens Association, Gulhifalhu Citizen's Association, Hulhumale' People's Committee and Male' Residents' Association.
"I want to listen to all of them and move forward by giving them as much opportunity as they want to share their feelings and concerns and what they still want to share," he said.
He said that all these organisations and committees represent a large number of people. As such, a lot of things will be known through this meeting, he said.
"Therefore, the outcome of this meeting will be to listen to the statements made by all of them and decide on the issues related to the housing sector, what the government is doing now and what is to be decided in the future," he said.
