President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he has never used state funds for any personal or unofficial trips.
In an exclusive interview with SanguTV, the President said this to clarify the truth about the expenses of his unofficial visits.
The President said he has personally paid for unofficial trips with his wife and children so far.
"As a rule, Muleeaage expenses cover my expenses. However, to date, whether tickets, accommodation, or any other expenses, I have paid for them myself, for my wife and children as well," he said.
"I don't want to take advantage of that opportunity," he said.
The President said that he was almost self-sufficient and stayed at his own expense until the renovation of the official residence in Muleeaage was completed. He said he had not taken any money from the state for that.
