The Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has produced and launched a new conduit pipe for electricity wiring in the Maldives.
Local Government Minister Adam Shareef Umar and MWSC Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohammed launched the conduit pipe at a ceremony held at MWSC today.
The pipe manufacturing plant established by MWSC in 2015 is ISO 9001 certified. The company has produced and marketed four sizes of high-quality conduit pipes.
The four different sizes produced for various electrical wiring tasks include; 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, and 40mm conduit pipes are available.
The MWSC said the conduit pipe will be manufactured and sold in the Maldives, providing convenience to construction companies and hardware shops working in the housing sector.
It will help alleviate the difficulties caused by delays in importing pipelines and pave the way for a positive impact on the Maldivian economy, he said.
MWSC said the company's aim is to develop its productivity day by day in the light of its experience and to provide its benefits to the company and the Maldivian society.
