Villa College has held the first interior architecture exhibition.

The exhibition, inaugurated by HDC's Managing Director Fazul Rasheed, showcased 30 projects by students of the interior architecture degree programme conducted by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Villa College.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of School, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Udhma Abdul Latheef said the exhibition was organised to showcase modules in the interior architecture course.

"Today is historic. This exhibition showcases the knowledge, skills, and creativity of the Interior Architecture students; a programme offered at Villa College alone," Udhma said.

Awards were also presented to the best projects at the exhibition.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fazul noted the importance of striving to excel in the field of education. He added that Villa College's programme has provided students practical experience in working.

"Once major projects such as Rasmale' are completed, students will have a lot of opportunities in interior design and architecture," Fazul said.

He added that the exhibition will aid HDC as a real estate company which is working towards building better spaces for senior citizens.

He said the building for the elderly is a CSR project of HDC, but it will be given to students of Villa College and those who have completed their studies to design the interiors.
