Eid Miskiya has been robbed again, Male' City Council has revealed.

In a post on X on Tuesday night, City Council said that 13 light bulbs and wires of 8 fans have been stolen from Eid Miskiy between 1800-2200hrs. The mosque has been closed for repairs.

City Council had previously stated that 10 fans have been stolen from Eid Miskiy until 21 June this year. The case has been lodged with police and City Council said the civic body will share CCTV footage soon as they receive it.

Till 21 June, 21 cases of theft from mosques in the city were registered with the police.

The theft cases include that of the water motor of Dharumavantha Miskiy stolen on March 31 this year and two fans installed on the wall of the mosque that were stolen.

On June 24, the Male' City Council had called for strict action against those involved in mosque thefts.
