The Bank of Maldives (BML) has decided to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) next month to change the bank’s board of directors.

BML announced today that the meeting would be held on the 21st of next month at 10:00 am at the request of the Finance Ministry.

The meeting is also scheduled to appoint board members and hear the minutes of the EGM held last July.

BML said the meeting will be open to those who register with the bank's shareholders registry till the 10th of next month. The meeting will be conducted through the Maldives Securities Depository (MSD)'s online platform 'FahiVote'.

Shareholders who wish to attend the meeting can pre-register from 10:00 am on Thursday until September 19th.

The BML board consists of 11 members. These include three directors representing common members and eight appointed by the government.
