A fire has broken out in Thilafushi.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said officers are active at the scene.

The fire broke out at the Marine Center in Thilafushi this morning. The fire was controlled by Thilafushi Fire Station.

A Maldivian sustained minor burns and smoke inhalation during the fire incident.

The fire at the Marine Center has now been brought under control but has not been completely extinguished.

"One" has learned that the fire broke out at Marinado Pvt. The place is a marine repair warehouse. The warehouse contained various chemicals, cooking gas, small buggies and repaired engines.
