The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has appointed Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed as a member of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy.

The Islamic Ministry said in a post on X tonight that Minister Dr. Shaheem was appointed to the post on the 8th of this month.

“The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has been appointed as a member of the International Academy of Islamic Fiqh of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),” the Ministry of Islamic Affairs said.

Dr. Shaheem has previously served as Advisor to the OIC Secretary General and Head of the OIC Voice of Wisdom Centre.

He has also served as the Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives. He was also the Mushrif Musaid of the Holy Quran Center and the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at Villa College.
