Maldives Police Service on Sunday arrested an Imam from Kaafu Kaashidhoo in an ongoing investigation of a drug case.

Police confirmed the arrest to One Online, adding that he was arrested early today.

Police, however, did not say how many drugs he was arrested with.

An imam from the island has been arrested for a drug related case previously as well.
