One Sports has signed as the PR Partner of the largest and most prestigious futsal tournament in the Maldives, the Golden Futsal Challenge 2025.

The Golden Futsal Challenge has been deemed the most successful format for atoll and island representation in a tournament so far. The tournament has been gaining popularity since it's inception in 2015, with the 2024 tournament seeing 129 teams playing 320 matches.

One Online has consecutively partnered with the tournament for it's promotion since 2022. This will mark the fourth year of partnership between the media and the tournament.

The partnership agreement was signed by the President of the Golden Futsal Association, Rilwan Moosa. One Sports News Head and Sports Editor Mohammed Shamoon signed on behalf of One Sports.

After signing the agreement, Rilwan said he decided to enter a partnership with One Sports once again due to the excellent reporting of the tournament in the previous years.

"We have signed with One Sports again because of their closeness to the tournament and the attention they always pay to covering the tournament. One Sports will work on the PR of the tournament this time too," he said.

The opportunity to participate in next year's Golden Futsal Challenge is now open.

The tournament was officially announced by Sports Minister Abdullah Rafiu last week. At the special event, Minister Rafiu said the Golden Futsal Challenge is one of the strongest sporting events in the Maldives. The Minister in particular noted the perfection of the tournament arrangements in prior years.

Speaking about the tournament, One Sports CEO and Editor Sinaan Ali said the coverage of next year's tournament will be more comprehensive than in previous years. There will also be a big difference between video content and photo content, he said.

"We are delighted to be a partner of Golden Futsal Challenge 2025. This is the biggest football tournament in the Maldives and the most well-organized tournament. Special thanks to Golden Futsal Association President Rilwan for giving us this opportunity. We will bring a more comprehensive coverage to our readers compared to other years,” Sinaan said.

This year's Golden Futsal Challenge has ended successfully with a record number of supporters attending the final match. The match was be played between 2023 champions Laamu Gan and Baa Eydhafushi, where the latter won the championship.

Next year's tournament opener will be played between this year's champions Baa Edhafushi and 2023 champions Laamu Gan.
