Maldives Police Service has started looking for the owner of the cash discovered at the Local Market area in Male’ City.

Police today said that said that a member of the public brought the money discovered at the market area to the police on 12 May and now they are looking for the owner.

The owner of the money is advised to call the General Investigation Department of the police at the duty line 963-1696, confirm the ownership in writing when they come to the police headquarters at Shaheed Hussain Adam Building to collect the money.

However, the police have not specified neither the person who found the money, where it was discovered nor the amount of money discovered.
