Health Protection Agency (HPA) has launched a risk assessment to determine the spread of Mpox in Maldives following the health emergency declared by WHO.
HPA, in a post on X, said that the Agency will share prevention steps once the risk assessment is complete.
The Mpox outbreak began in Congo and has since spread to neighbouring countries.
WHO has said that over 14,000 people have tested positive for Mpox so far with 524 fatalities.
