The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has said that nine islands have been flooded due to heavy rains across the country.

In a post on X, NDMA said that the floods were reported in S. Maradhoo, S. Feydhoo, S. Hithadhoo, GDh. Dhevvadhoo, Lh. Naifaru, Lh. Kurendhoo, Kulhudhuffushi City, HA. Baarah and HA. Dhiddhoo.

"Nine islands have reported strong winds and flash floods by 6pm. There is no immediate need for any family to be relocated," NDMA said, adding that it is closely monitoring the damage caused to the islands due to heavy rains.
