President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent a letter to Bahrain's King Sheikh Hamad Isa Al Khalifa.

Maldivian Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, who is currently on an official visit to Bahrain, met with crown prince and prime minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and handed over the president's letter.

Zameer said in a post on X that during his meeting with Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, the two countries discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

He also assured full support from the Government of Maldives to further strengthen the friendly relations between the Maldives and Bahrain.

Zameer is currently on a visit to Bahrain at the invitation of foreign minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani.
