Housing, Land and Urban Development Minister Dr. Ali Haider has said that all the land allocated under the Binveriyaa Scheme in Hulhumalé Phase 2 will be handed over to the recipients by October.
The minister was responding to a question by North Galolhu MP Mohammed Ibrahim in the Parliament today while making the statement.
The minister said that land has also been allocated from phase one and phase three in Hulhumalé under the scheme.
1.407 plots are to be allocated in Hulhumalé Phase II, of which 623 plots have already been allocated, he said.
However, some of the land in Phase II was given from the company's equipment storage sites and some roads and alleys, he said. He added that some of the plots have electrical pipes and electrical boxes inside the plots.
Therefore, the land is being inspected, electricity boxes are being removed, and the land is being cleared and handed over to the people, he said.
Then all the land to be allocated in phase one will be completed by October, he said.
