The People's National Congress (PNC) has launched a campaign to increase its membership as part of their efforts to become the largest political party in the Maldives.

PNC Parliamentary Group Leader and Inguraidhoo Constituency MP Ibrahim Falaah told One Online today that the activities will be conducted from August 1st to October 15th.

Falaah stated that the plan is to make the PNC the largest political party in the Maldives within the next three months. He stressed that the party wants as many people as possible to join the PNC to complete the development plans included in President Mohamed Muizzu's manifesto and fulfill his presidential promises, he said.

"We are campaigning to increase the number of members of the PNC from all across the country. As many as possible. Not a specific number. It is just as many members as possible," he added.

Today's membership drive activity is being conducted in Villimalé and Maafannu. Every week, the party will conduct a membership campaign in the Malé area, he said.

"Last week we conducted activities six constituencies. This week we are working in six more constituencies. The whole country will be covered in September and October. Today we are divided into two groups This movement is ongoing,” Falaah said.

Falaah said the party has received about 8,000 forms in the past three weeks.
