STO has invited expressions of interest for the proposed 15-storey multipurpose building in Male' City.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) issued by the STO today stated that the building will be constructed on 15,000 square feet of land adjacent to the STO's head office in male' city.

It is meant for the purpose of space for the growing employees of STO and an area where the company can store services and supplies for its employees.

According to the EOI, the building will be built on a contractor-financed basis with 15 percent equity in the STO.

It also said that a person interested in the proposed project, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), should be a primary contractor who has undertaken such a project worth USD 18 million or more in the last five years.

Those who have worked as sub-contractors will not be considered, STO said.

According to the EOI, the deadline for expression of interest in the work will end on August 13.
