Maldives' Eyan Ahmed has advanced to the second round of the men's junior event of the Visit Maldives Pro 2024, which is part of the Bodyboarding IBC World Tour.
The heats of the Visit Maldives Pro have been going on since yesterday, while the junior first round and preliminary round heats began today. Today, Maldives' Nooh Mohamed Irshad and Noon Mohamed Irshad lost in the preliminary round. Mohamed Jaresh Jihaadh also lost in the preliminary round.
However, Eyan competed in a strong heat, finished second and moved to the next round, which was followed by Spain's Kevin Perez and Portugal's Frederico Castelo Branco, who topped the heat with 11.5 points.
Eyan maintained lead during the last 10 minutes of the heat and finished with 8.5 points to Perez's 7.45 points.

A total of 86 athletes from 14 countries are competing in the Visit Maldives 2024.
