Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has banned the anti-allergic medicine, Allegra, over quality issues.

MFDA issued a statement on Sunday that the decision was made after the Authority was alerted on quality issues by the producer in India.

The three batches highlighted for quality issues are AL1223019, AL1223029 and AL1223060 30MG/5ML bottles.

MFDA has urged pharmacies, warehouses or medical care facilities that currently have the drug in stock to inform the authority via email at [email protected].
