The Maldives Bodyboarding Association (MBBA) has announced that 88 athletes will compete in the Visit Maldives Pro 2024, one of the largest international sporting events in the Maldives.
This year’s Visit Maldives Pro event will officially kick off on Friday. However, the official meeting and athletes' briefing will be held tonight. This year's event will be held at the Varunula Raalhugandu, and will run until August 9th.
The world's best bodyboarders have registered for the event and 88 athletes will compete. There are 50 athletes competing in the men's open division, 23 athletes in the women's open division and 23 athletes in the junior division.
The Visit Maldives Pro will feature 15 athletes from the Maldives. The remaining 73 athletes are from other countries.
The Maldives Pro has become popular among the world's athletes for the past two years. This year, the event will feature athletes from 13 countries other than the Maldives.

This year's Vist Maldives Pro will feature four international judges. One of the judges will be recruited from the Maldives, the association said.
