Managing Director of Regional Airports Limited Ahmed Mubeen, in a post on X on Sunday, said that people need to put aside their differences and accept that the public have accepted PNC leadership.
"The bi-elections have made it clear that the public believe that the public have accepted President Dr. Muizzu to lead the Government and that people need to put aside their differences," Mubeen said.
He added that the by-election results have proved that the public has chosen Dr. Muizzu.
The bi-elections were held on Sunday for three vacant seats in Male' City Council, a seat in Kulhudhuffushi City Council, as well for a female representative of R. Rasmaadhoo Council.
PNC won the by-election as follows:
- Kulhudhuffushi North constituency by-election: Ibrahim Ahmed (PNC)
- Male' City Council by-election to Hulhumale' constituency: Ali Ayman (PNC)
- Male' City Council by-election to Central Constituency: Fathimath Ishan Ali (PNC)
- Male' City Council by-election to Henveiru West constituency: Fathimath Shafa Salin (PNC)
- By-election to elect President of Billadhoo Council: Arish Ismail (PNC)
An independent candidate won the by-election to the female member's seat in Rasmadhoo Council.
