Maldives Police Service has revealed that the student who was being treated in the ICU for food poisoning at the Police College in Addu City is recovering.

Thirty-two students of the Police College, National College of Policing and Law Enforcement were admitted to the Equatorial Hospital in Addu City on Thursday after food poisoning. Two students were treated in the ICU but one has now been transferred to the ward.

Noting that the health of the second student in the ICU has been improving, Police revealed that the student has also been transferred to the ward now.

Police had earlier said it would be clear what the students had eaten to cause the poisoning after receiving lab reports.
