Maldives Police Service has said they have arrested an individual running a scam under the guise of forex trading.

In a message to the media, police said a 46-year-old Maldivian man was arrested following a report made on Wednesday.

The individual was remanded for 10 days in judicial custody after being presented before court, police said.

Police make arrests every now and then related to scams under the guise of forex trading.
