Police have said they rescued a man being held captive in a house after being taken from his guesthouse room.

In a message to the media, police said that the incident was reported on Thursday but did not specify how long the man had been held captive before he was rescued.

A 30-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the case, police said, adding that the court remanded the trio to judicial custody for 10 days.

The court order stated that the accused had taken the man captive from a guesthouse room and taken him to a secondary location and detained him there.
