Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that three ministers will depart to China on Saturday on an official visit.

Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Shafiq and Construction and Infrastructure Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib will visit the country at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The Foreign Minister and the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold official talks during the visit and will also meet senior officials of the Chinese government.

During the four-day visit, a meeting will also be held with Chinese companies involved in various development projects in the Maldives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu last week and discussed areas Maldives needs assistance in and ensured Chinese government's support.
