Police: 11 injured in 56 traffic collisions last week

Maldives Police Service has released statistics stating that a total of 56 traffic collisions took place in the country last week and 11 people were injured in those collisions.

While 417 vehicles were checked in the past week, drivers on 99 of those vehicles did not have a driving license. And 776 vehicles were fined for parking violations while 14 cases of speeding were noted by the Police.

Police said that 15 cases of traffic light violation, driving the wrong way on a one-way street along with underage driving are noted along with 14 vehicles stopped for exceeding speed limits.
