Maldives Immigration has launched an app called Immigration Watch to track illegal immigrants.

After launching the Immigration Watch at a press conference yesterday, Immigration Controller Mohamed Shamaan said the app will be used to report illegal immigrants and foreigners trying to enter the Maldives illegally.

Shamaan said cases can also be submitted anonymously through Immigration Watch. He said the app will also provide information to the public about illegal immigrants.

"Immigration Watch" can always receive complaints as well as photos and videos, he said.

He further revealed that to report a case involving foreigners, go to Imuga.immigration.gov.mv, select Immigration Watch, and fill in the information.
