Two drones have been donated to police to be used in sea operations.
The Home Ministry told the media that the two drones, which can be operated in the sea and in the air, were donated by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Minister Ali Ihsan signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Home Affairs today.
According to the Home Ministry, the drones will be used for short-range operations conducted by the Marine Police Division.
While the police received two drones operating in the sea and in the air, the current government purchased two drones from Turkey, which are operated by MNDF. Additionally, two drones will be donated to Customs by US and China.
