MIFCO outlets and other retail stores are witnessing plummeting fish product stocks, amid a low-fishing season in the Maldives.

MIFCO said today that they are receiving complaints about shops that have completely run out of their fish products. They highlighted that the fish supply has become scarce due to the decline in fishing as of late.

“MIFCO outlets are currently running out of fish due to the decline in fishing in the Maldives and the decline in the number of fish bought by the company,” MIFCO said.

MIFCO now buys fish from fishermen based on the international market price.
