Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has said that land plots allotted for industrial purposes have received a positive response.

As such, HDC said that the Corporation will allot plots to as many applicants as possible. The decision was made after considering the large number of applications received to lease industrial plots from Thilafushi.

According to HDC's notification, the lowest bid price for land is MVR 1,700 per sqft.

The plot sale allotment was first made on March 20. this year, from Area B of Zone A in the industrial zone, which includes 64 plots of 2,500-4,999 sqft, 42 plots of 5,000-9,999 sqft, and two plots of 10,000-14,999 sqft.
