A Maldivian has sustained serious injuries from a road accident in Bangladesh.

Operations Manager of Hidhumaiy Jamiyya, Hussain Haisham, was injured traveling from Dhaka to Chittagong.

Hidhumaiy Jamiyya said that the driver had dozed off behind the wheel during the eight-hour journey, resulting in the accident.

Haisham is currently undergoing medical treatment for a broken leg among other injuries.

Hidhumaiy Jamiyya said that the organisation is working on 4 mosque construction projects in Bangladesh and Haisham is the head of the projects.
