President. Mohammed Muizzu has nominated Ismail Habib Abdul Raheem as a member to the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM), and has sent his nomination to the Parliament for approval.

Habib was previously a member of the Election Commission (EC) and its Vice-President.

However, he resigned from the commission in March after serving two five-year terms.
