The first shipment of quay wall blocks required for the HDh. Neykurendhoo Harbour Development Project has been delivered to the project site, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said.

MTCC said quay wall block installation work commenced on 13 July 2024.

Scope of works for this project include new harbour dredging operations of 22,323cbm, maintenance dredging operations of 6,806cbm, channel dredging operations of 1,985cbm, construction of 366m breakwater, 166m revetment, 212m quay wall, 10m x 9m concrete ramp and installation of 1,859sqm harbour pavement, harbour and navigational lights, and mooring buoys.

The project is valued at MVR 45.11 million.
