A car traveling through Laamu Atoll Gan on the Laamu Link Road caught fire on Thursday.

Maldives Poloce Service told the media today that they were on the scene after receiving a tip-off that a car was on fire on the link road.

There were two people in the car at the time. No one was injured in the incident, police said.

The fire in the car has now been extinguished and the cause of the incident is being investigated, police added.
