More than 80 nominations have been received for the Maldives Media Council (MMC) Journalism Award.

The deadline for applications expired with 88 submissions received in 18 categories. The 18 categories are;

  • Entertainment and Art

  • Best Coverage of the Year
  • Aspiring Journalist
  • Journalist of the Year
  • Best Atoll Production

MMC said it has received submissions in all categories except Audio Journalism and the Best Atoll Production

The awards ceremony is scheduled for next month.
