The Government of Maldives has held discussions with business leaders of the United States of America to further enhance and expand trade relations between the two countries.

The discussions took place at an investment round table with representatives from the corporate sector organised by the US Chamber of Commerce during Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed's ongoing visit to the US.

However, Economic Ministry has not divulged further details regarding the meeting as of yet.

Minister Saeed's visit to the USA is aimed at expanding trade and investment ties between the Maldives and the United States.
