Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the B. Kamadhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 93% project progress.

They further added that the revetment profiling work and entrance channel dredging operation is ongoing, with 81% and 55% completion respectively.

Scope of works include, 25,500cbm new harbor basin dredging operations, 5,433cbm existing harbour basin dredging operations, 5,085cbm channel dredging operations, construction of a 658m revetment; a 173m breakwater; a 402m quay wall; 1,810 sqm harbor paving, construction of 2 ramps, construction of a concrete jetty (80m x1.5m), installation of navigational aids and harbor lights.

The value of the project is MVR 51.44 million.
