Maldives Immigration has revealed that they have apprehended four foreigners for running illegal businesses in Hulhumalé.
Immigration said in a post on X yesterday that the four foreigners were arrested as part of an operation to track down illegal immigrants. They were arrested at two places in Hulhumalé.
Police and Immigration raided local markets and private markets in the city on the 29th of last month and arrested 50 foreigners. They have been since deported.
Immigration Controller Mohammed Shamman has earlier said that all foreigners who trade illegally in the Maldives will be deported.
