The Criminal Court has ordered the man arrested in connection with the arson of motorcycles in the parking zone in front of the Parliament to be remanded in custody pending trial.

The police have arrested H FourSeasons, Fairooz Ibrahim, 36.

He was arrested on charges of damage to property and taken to the Criminal Court for remand. The prosecution has asked the court to remand him in custody till the end of the trial.

The Criminal Court yesterday ordered him to remain in custody till the end of the trial for the safety and security of the society.

The fire broke out in the motorcycle parking zone near Hotel Jen on Medhuziyaaraiy Magu at 3:03 am on June 4th.

Seven motorcycles and a van were damaged in the fire, three of which were burnt to the ground.
