Maldivian Airlines on Saturday canceled two flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Maldivian Airlines said in a post on X today that flights Q2-502 and Q2-2502 from Malé to Dhaka have been canceled due to a technical problem. The flights were scheduled to leave at 6:35 pm and at 4:45 am.

Maldivian stated that the two flights have been canceled and the issue is being resolved. The company further apologized for any inconvenience.

While the issue is being resolved, Maldivian Airlines did not disclose the reason for the cancellation.

It is learned that the two canceled flights are currently at a Malaysian airport for engine work. However, the two flights were stranded at the Malaysian airport after an oil leak from a hangar.

Maldivian Airlines has also asked customers traveling to Dhaka on these flights to call 1671 if they have any other options.
