Two foreigners alleged of solicitation have been detained by Maldives Immigration.

In a social media post, Immigration said that the two Vietnamese women were arrested during a raid on Wednesday night following a tip-off received by police.

Immigration posted a picture of a large amount of cash recovered from the two women but did not divulge any further information.

Maldives Immigration is conducting special operations to track illegal immigrants in the Maldives.
