Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Tuesday revealed that they have completed 86 percent work on the Shaviyani Bilehfahi Harbor Development Project.

They further added that the fourth shipment of rock boulders required for the project have been transferred to the site.

The scope of works include, 10,500cbm new harbor basin dredging operations, 3,825cbm existing harbor basin dredging operations, 9,800cbm entrance channel dredging operations, 3,500cbm boat beaching area dredging operations, construction of 22m groyne; a 181m quay wall; a 376m breakwater; a 170m revetment; installation of 1,549sqm harbor pavement, construction of a ramp and a bridge, installation of harbor lights and navigational lights.

The value of the project is MVR 40.73 million.
